10 Beautiful Walks in Victoria

  1. The Grampians - The Pinnacle

If breathtaking views are what your after, the pinnacle walk in Halls Gap is a must.

A rewarding hike overlooking Halls Gap and beyond. With views that go on forever you feel like your up in the clouds. The great thing about this walk is that there are a few different options if your strapped for time. Enter from Sundial car park for the shorter walk at just over 2km. We have done this one with kids, there are plenty of rest spots and a little rock hopping for excitement. Or if your feeling adventurous take the harder option. Beginning at Wonderland Car Park this hike is a steeper, more challenging climb that is sure to get your heart pumping. We have also done this one with kids, there was a lot of ice cream incentives to get to the top!

Found in the Yarra State Forest is one of my all time favourite short walks in Victoria that offers the most spectacular mountain and forest views. It is an easy 45 minute return walk through tall mountain ash trees down a narrow bush path with a very rewarding outlook.

Golden hour is the best time to make the treck as you can watch the golden rays cover the forest below and slowly dip into the sky. Bring a thermos, a picnic blanket and bit to eat and watch the sunset over the valley, an easy forest walk in victoria.
