Beach camping in Shoreham Victoria

Mornington Peninsula

Shoreham beach - a short walk from our campsite

A campsite we are always coming back to. Although we did not camp directly on the beach, we were sheltered by trees with only a few minutes' walk to the shore. Enjoy the convenience of Shoreham camping with power available at the amenities block.

Just over an hour from Melbourne, Shoreham is an increasingly popular coastal town on the Mornington Peninsula where the forest meets the ocean. The beach is clear and clean, with waves never too hectic, offering a serene retreat just steps away from our campsite.

Shoreham Foreshore Reserve is a secluded campground full of native trees, birdsong, and ocean views. Wake up to the sound of blue wrens floating in the air and waves crashing down below. Experience the tranquility of beachside camping in Shoreham, Victoria.

All campsites are unpowered, ensuring a true nature experience. Plan your visit accordingly, as the campgrounds are closed from June to September.

Shoreham is a perfect base to explore surrounding suburbs of the Mornington Peninsula. We day tripped out to Flinders Cliffs for a short walk and picnic and walked the pier at Flinders Beach.

Cairns Bay - seen from the Flinders short walk ( Tea tree Track)

If you after a short walk that offers big views, Tea Tree Track Cairns Bay in Flinders is so beautiful. Its. a bit of Photographer hot spot so expect to see a few up there if you venture out at sunset. It leads you to the most dramatic coastal views and basalt cliffs. Admire the view or walk to the beach below. It gets a bit rocky, I don’t recommend swimming here, just pack a picnic and soak in the view.
