Tiny Home Stays in Victoria

Secluded Tiny Home Escapes in Victoria's Great Outdoors

There's something truly special about escaping the city noise and retreating into the tranquil peace and quiet of nature in Victoria. I've been fortunate enough to document some remarkable tiny home stays nestled across Victoria's bushlands for Into The Wild Escapes – perfect secluded spots to unwind, reset, and immerse yourself in the beauty of the Australian bush and natural landscapes.

These tiny home accommodations provide a unique way to experience the great outdoors of Victoria without sacrificing modern comforts. Wake up to bird sounds and rolling hills right from your doorstep. No need for tents or camping gear – these cozy tiny homes have everything you need, allowing you to simply relax and soak up the serenity of Victoria's natural settings.

Tiny Elliot: 3 Hours from Melbourne

This Tiny home is still one of my favourites. Situated in Pomonal, Vic and only 11 minutes from Halls Gap, Tiny Elliot was the perfect location to explore the Heart of The Grampians but also feel secluded on beautiful farming property with a mountain backdrop, you feel a world away in these off grid cabins, but have the option to explore, its a win win!

What we loved?

Surrounded by golden paddocks, kangaroos, a dam, mountain views , minimal light pollution and close proximity to Halls Gap. Its the perfect mix of a secluded nature stay with the option to explore the nearby town, wineries and activities. I highly recommend the electric scooter rental to zip around Halls Gap, it was SO much fun!

Tiny Ikigai : 40 minutes from Melbourne
This one had me at outdoor bath! Yes you herd correct, Tiny Ikiagi is ONLY a 40 minute drive from Melbourne, located on a farming property in Whittlesea, this is an easy drive for when you just need to unplug, read a book and sit by a camp fire, being its so close to Melbourne, but feels like you have the world to yourself!

What we loved:

The outdoor bath and decking just add another dimension. Picture yourself running a bubble bath, as the sun is setting with a glass of red in hand, its bliss, and it could be you. Kangaroos greet you at sunrise while your brewing coffee, the only sounds are birds waking up and the firepit is set up to get lost in the rolling hill view. We bought the kids along for this one and they really enjoyed themselves. Perfect for a family or couple getaway. They might be small but they make up for it with a big backyard.

Merton, Victoria

Tiny Maggie

This tiny home stay is perched on top of a hill with one of the most beautiful views you could ask for. Situated in Merton, a 2 hour drive from Melbourne through country rounds. With a swing in the tree, a hammock and endless mountain and farmland views this property was the go to if your after a relaxing, carefree weekend away with a good book and bird song.

What we loved?
The views and cattle! Mountain views that turn magical at sunset plus the gorgeous cows that live on the property.

Tiny Lenore

In the country town of Skipton ( 1 hour from Ballarat) you will find Tiny Lenore. A little tiny home with a huge farmland back yard and outdoor bath. This stay, along with 3 others ( all secluded from one another) lives inside the Mooramong Estate, a beautiful heritage country homestead now owned by the National Trust of Victoria. Perfect for stargazing and campfires, we stayed in Winter and the home kept us toasty and warm.

What we loved?

As this stay is on Morramong Estate, you have the option to explore the beautiful grounds rich in history. Its also a working farm so there are lots lots of wandering sheep and farmland views to see.

Tiny Harper
Forty minutes from Bendigo, you'll discover Tiny Harper, a serene retreat perched atop a hill on private farmland. Enveloped by bushland and offering breathtaking views, this haven invites you to unwind. Our evenings were spent by the fire, stargazing under the clear sky, and exploring the surrounding bush trails. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find a delectable breakfast and cheese platter waiting for us, adding a touch of luxury to our stay.

What we loved

If you visit on the right day, you can explore the lively nearby markets. The true highlight of our stay, though, was Harry, the farm’s adorable border collie. Harry’s playful antics and loyal companionship made our trip feel extra special. He joined us on walks and was always ready for a cuddle, adding a fun and wholesome touch to our stay.
